1. INTRODUCTION

This disk contains part of the Mars Orbiter Camera (MOC)
Standard Data Product (SDP) archive.

The MOC SDP archive was compiled for the National Aeronautics and
Space Administration (NASA) by Malin Space Science Systems personnel
under the direction of Dr. Michael C. Malin, MOC Principal
Investigator.  Dr. Michael Caplinger was responsible for its
compilation.

The image files are organized according to NASA's Planetary Data
System (PDS) standards.  An image file is organized as a PDS
labeled file containing an "image object".

2. BRIEF DISK DESCRIPTION

This volume contains MGS MOC data from the Extended phase of the
mission. The data included on this volume are Mars data from days
2006-04-01 through 2006-04-30.

The data on this DVD are organized into 8 top-level directories named
MGSC_1547 through MGSC_1554. Each of these directories is a virtual CD,
or "logical volume," having the same directory structure as a PDS data
CD-ROM. Users should be able to use the data in any one of these top-level
directories as though the directory were the root directory of a
separate, standalone CD.

Further information on the contents of the individual logical volumes
can be found within the volumes themselves. In particular, see the file
AAREADME.TXT under each of the top-level directories on this DVD.
