                   CATALOG Directory Contents

     The CATALOG directory contains data set map projection catalog objects.
This volume does not contain a CATALOG.CAT file, which is normally required 
in this directory on PDS volumes. The file VOLINFO.TXT in the DOCUMENT
directory is intended to take the place of CATALOG.CAT. PDS catalog
objects for the MGS mission, spacecraft, instruments, and standard data
products will be present on standard data product volumes to be released
later in the mission.

     The following files are found in this directory.

CATINFO.TXT -  The file you are reading.

DSMAP1.CAT  -  This file contains data set map projection objects for 
               Viking Orbiter MDIM images that show the locations of 
               MOC data products.  This file is referenced by PDS 
               labels in the BROWSE/MOC directory with file names 
               in the form N0xxxxxF.LBL.

DSMAP2.CAT  -  This file contains data set map projection objects for
               the RSS gravity map. This file is referenced by the
               label for the gravity map, in the file JGM50C01.LBL in
               the RSS/IMG directory.

REF.CAT     -  This file contains complete references mentioned in DSMAP2.CAT.
