The [DOCUMENT.NIMSGD] directory contains ASCII text and Postscript files
of a revised version of the document 'NIMS Guide to the Earth-Moon
Encounter (VE11) and to the Venus Data Playback (VE9)' originally published
in November of 1990.

Chapter 1 (Introduction) has been rewritten for this CD.  The original
introduction is of historical interest only and has been relegated to
an appendix.

Chapter 6 (NIMS Instrument Information) has been omitted since a preprint
of the NIMS instrument paper has been included on the CD.  (See INSTPUB.ASC
or INSTPUB.PS, INSTFIGn.PS and INSTTABn.PS in the [DOCUMENT] directory.)

Chapter 7 (Gaspra Plans) has been omitted since it has been superseded
by material to be included on the second CD-ROM volume of NIMS EDRs.

Chapter 8 (Personnel) is obsolete and has been omitted.
