This document also describes standard processing methods developed particularly for handling Galileo Phase 2 data. Also included are newly identified errors or discrepancies on previous volumes of the Galileo Solid State Imaging Raw EDR CD-ROMs. Information relating to limitations, errors and discrepancies in the entire data set is included in the Limitations section of the DATASET.CAT file in the CATALOG directory. Contents of the file include: general information, VICAR Labels, PDS Labels, Index Table and Cumulative Index Tables. For SCLKs 368976000 and 368972339 the HORIZONATAL_PIXEL_SCALE and VERTICAL_PIXEL_SCALE are set to -9.99 which is known to be out of range for these keywords. The cause is being investigated and the images will be reprocessed and placed in the redo directory of a later CD Volume. These files are located in directories [C3.RINGS.C036897] and [C3.RINGS.C036899]. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 368974113 368974126 368974139 368975900 368975922 368975945 368975968 368976000 368991500 368991522 368991900 368992300 368992339 Anamolies and Processing Information ===================================== The following list identifies anomalies that occurred during the mission and how the anomylies were resolved. Also included is information on processing. This mainly for the user's information. Due to a problem with the flight software, the exposure values in the images were being returned low by 4-1/6 milliseconds except for exposure numbers 1, 2, and 4. Software was modified to adjust image exposure values in the VICAR and binary labels to reflect actual exposure times. HIS images had a line shift of 1 line on the 2nd and 4th frame cycles and during extended exposures and OCM images. Software was modified to position the lines correctly. Multiple playback of images with different compression factors are not merged together and each subsequent filename is incremented by 1. Smear and smear magnitude do not have valid values due to the angular velocity being not available in the actual CK. Local Hour Angle keyword is not valid for Ring Images. Light Flood values are based on the predicted values received in the SNIP. It should be noted that the light flood for OCMs are "ON" for the 1st shutter event and "OFF" for all the others. ============================== No SPICE PDS Keywords --------------------- When there is no SPICE information, pointing information is not available in the PDS Labels or Index Tables.
