CALRPT2.PDF ----------- The file CALRPT2.PDF located in the DOCUMENT directory on this GO_0001 CD, is a scanned document in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. This file is the "Solid State Imaging Subsystem Calibration Report: Part 2" by K. Klaasen. When this document was scanned into its digital form, for inclusion on this CD, the conversion software had some difficulties. The following provides all known inconsistencies with the original paper version of the document. Please note that the figures and pictures seen on the screen when you first enter Adobe Acrobat Reader, are a low quality, quick-look version provided only to identify where the pictures are located in the document. Position your cursor over the image or figure and click the mouse button. Acrobat will automatically locate and display the high quality version of the image or figure. Please do NOT do any interpretation from the quick- look versions since they may contain scanner artifacts, some not so apparent to the untrained eye. Throughout the digital version of this document, there were several problems that the scanner software continually had difficulties with. First, the scanner software continually had difficulties interpreting certain equations. If you plan to use any of the equations in this document, please be sure to check this document to ensure that the correct equation is being used. Please note that this document was typed using Monoco 9 point font. If the equations are not lining up properly, try changing your font to an equal-distant font such as Monoco or Courier. Second, the unit NM (nanometer) was improperly translated as RIM. When you see RIM in a figure caption, it should read NM. Since this is a very common problem, all instances of it will not be included in the table below. Also note that the Angstrom sign was misinterpreted as a plain A. Below are the other corrections that apply to this document. Page Corrections ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 Figure 2-1 Wavelength is in NM (nanometers) 6 Figure 2-5 Wavelength is in NM (nanometers) 8 Figure 2-6 Wavelength is in NM (nanometers) 13 Figure 3-4 caption should read "The quantities of (DN-DC)/Lt c 14 3rd line down should read "should be a constant for any values of L and t , and the uncor-" c 29 Table 3-10 "Violet 1 (sum) 933.9" should have a "*" after the 933.9 indicating the xenon light cannon was used. 76 Figure 3-140 the units are in (Cycles/pixel) 97 The first line in Table 3-24 should read Square x y Y x y Y ----------------------------------------- 5/7 .271 .298 1.0 .252 .246 1.0 100 Second equation on page should read * Xw(DN - 255) R = R x 10 w w max 100 Third equation on page should read * * * Xwr(DNr - 255) Xwg(DNg - 255) Xwb(DNb - 255) R = R (10 )(10 )(10 ) w w max * * * XwrDNr + XwgDNg + XwbDNb -255 (Xwr+Xwg+Xwb) = R (10 ) w max 101 First set of equations on page should read * * * XxrDNr + XxgDNg + XxbDNb - 255 (Xxr+Xxg+Xxb) X/X = 10 max * * * XyrDNr + XygDNg + XybDNb - 255 (Xyr+Xyg+Xyb) Y/Y = 10 max * * * XzrDNr + XzgDNg + XzbDNb - 255 (Xzr+Xzg+Xzb) Z/Z = 10 max * 101 Line 16 should read "... when all DN 's are zero."... 103 Equation starting with [L] = should have a left opening bracket the same size as the right closing bracket, not just around the the third line of the equation. 105 In table 3-26, under the Leakage Fraction column, the negative sign after lines 3 and 6 should be part of the exponent, like the others in that column. 106 In table 3-27, under the Equivalent Luminance column, the negative sign after lines 3 and 6 should be part of the exponent, like the others in that column. 108,110,111,113 The "A" in the caption should be an Angstrom symbol.
