END_OBJECT = TEXT END INDEX Directory Contents The index directory contains tabular index files, accompanied by detached PDS labels, intended for use in data management systems. The following files are found in this directory. indxinfo.txt: The file you are reading. img_index.lbl: Detached PDS label for img_index.tab. img_index.tab: Index keyword table for processed tile images. img_cumindex.lbl: Detached PDS label for img_cumindex.tab. img_cumindex.tab: Cumulative index keyword table for processed tile images. map_index.lbl: Detached PDS label for map_index.tab. map_index.tab: Index keyword table for cartographic maps sheet files. map_cumindex.lbl: Detached PDS label for map_index.tab. map_cumindex.tab: Cumulative index keyword table for cartographic map sheet files. Notes on Using the Index The index tables in this directory contains one row (record) for each image or map product on this Cassini ISS Cartographic Map Volume. The columns in this table are keywords related to each image or map. For example: TARGET_NAME DATA_SET_ID CENTER_LATITUDE CENTER_LONGITUDE MAXIMUM_LATITUDE WESTERNMOST_LONGITUDE etc. The table is formatted so that it can be read directly into many database systems. All fields are separated by commas, and character fields are enclosed in double quotation marks ("). Character fields are left justified and numeric fields are right justified. Each record ends with ASCII carriage return and line feed characters. This allows the table to be treated as a fixed length record file on computers that support this file type and as a normal text file on other computers. The index.lbl file is a PDS label file that describes the content and structure of the fields in the index table, including field name, format, and description. The values for start byte and number of bytes listed in the label file do not include commas between fields or quotation marks surrounding character fields.
