These ASCII text files provide high-level information about the Chandrayaan-1 mission, spacecraft (instrument host), instrument(s), references, and data sets in this archive. The catalog files, also called objects, in this directory are updated as more precise information becomes available. L0_DS.CAT - This file contains data set objects for the Chandrayaan-1 Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) raw science data products. This file provides an overview of the raw science data in this archive, including any processing and data reduction history. Files from this dataset are present in the L0 directory. *NOTE, L0 data products are not included in this delivery. See volumes CH1M3_0001 and CH1M3_0002. L1B_DS.CAT - This file contains data set objects for the Chandrayaan-1 Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) spectrally calibrated data products. This file provides an overview of the spectrally calibrated data in this archive, including any processing and data reduction history. Files from this dataset are present in the L1B directory. INST.CAT - This file describes the M3 instrument and its scientific objectives. INSTHOST.CAT - This file describes of the Chandrayaan-1 spacecraft (instrument host) that carried the instrument. MISSION.CAT - This file provides a brief description of the Chandrayaan-1 mission. It includes a chronology of events, a definition of mission phases, and the mission objectives. PERSON.CAT - This file lists the people responsible for producing this archive. REF.CAT - This file lists bibliographic citations for works cited in these catalog files.
